If you’re on the hunt for a place where your baby can rest and play, you may have considered purchasing a DockaATot.
But, once you’ve seen the price tag of a DockATot, you may have decided it wasn’t an option for you because of how expensive a DockATot pillow is. Many even call it a glorified pillow.
Luckily, many other companies have come up with their version of a baby lounger. These are what I lovingly call DockATot alternatives that are budget-friendly.

What to look for when shopping for a Dock a Tot alternative
What is it made of?
You will want to check and see what the cover and the fill of the baby lounger are made of. You will notice in my reviews above that I listed both. Every parent has a different thought on the type of material they’d like to have, so I have included a variety of types of materials.
What kind of sides does it have?
You’ll want to check and see what the sides of the baby lounger are made of. Are they made of foam, cotton, polyester, etc?
How big is it?
You will quickly see that not all baby loungers are made the same. Some are designed in an oval design, whereas others may have a more rectangular design. They also have a variety of range dimensions as well. If you’re trying to fit your baby lounger in a specific place, make sure you check the dimensions first before purchasing.
Can the cover be removed and washed?
Not all baby lounger covers can be removed. As a mom, I know that it is an absolute must that you can at least remove the cover and wash it. For this reason, I am only including baby loungers with washable covers.
How heavy is it?
*MOST* baby loungers are right around 3-4 pounds. You will find some a bit heavier and a bit lighter. If you need your baby lounger to be a specific weight, make sure you check that before purchasing.
