Pregnancy Must-Haves
You’re probably here because you’re newly pregnant (congrats!), or because you’re struggling with something particular and you need some help finding the right solution.
Either way, I’m glad you’re here!
After many pregnancies personally, I have gathered some of my favorite pregnancy must-haves that have made pregnancy easier and more enjoyable each and every time.
Here you’ll find some of my favorite things to buy when you find out you’re pregnant, as well as things you’ll find helpful along the way as your pregnancy progresses.

Water Bottle
One of the things many people overlook when they’re newly pregnant is the importance of staying hydrated. If you aren’t used to drinking a lot of water, this one is huge for you!
An easy way to stay hydrated is to have a water bottle you love and can keep with you. You’re more likely to stay hydrated while pregnant if you have water with you all the time.
I have several water bottles I love (you can check out my favorite water bottles while pregnant here!), but if I had to pick one, it would be the Iron Flask Stainless Steel Water Bottle. However, my kids all love the ever-popular Owala FreeSip Water Bottles.
Books About Pregnancy
One of the most popular books on pregnancy I was given with my first pregnancy was “What to Expect When You’re Expecting“. The book is super helpful as you walk through your pregnancy and have questions and concerns. Oftentimes, it can answer your question and avoid a call to the doctor.
Also, if you’re up for an interesting read, you should check out “Expecting Better“.
Maternity Bra
One thing I didn’t realise was how quickly my breasts would grow, and I needed new bras. Money was really tight at the time, so I wanted to make my investment worth it.
I was planning to breastfeed, so I went ahead and bought nursing bras. This idea was both good and bad. It met my need then, but once I gave birth and my milk came in, I ended up needing to size up for a bit. Just something to consider.
My absolute favorite nursing bras were the Kindred Bravely Sublime Contour Nursing Bras.
If you want to see the full lineup of nursing bras I recommend, you can find those here.
Maternity Leggings
One of my favorite things to wear when I was pregnant was maternity leggings. They were comfortable, I could move easily, and I bought a few pairs that even offered support as my belly grew and became heavier.
If you just need something comfy you can wear around the house, you’ll love these Liu & Qu Maternity Leggings.
You can check out all of my favorite maternity leggings here!
Morning Sickness Remedies
With every pregnancy, I knew I was pregnant because of the morning sickness. It was awful with each and every pregnancy.
And, if this isn’t your first pregnancy, then you know life becomes a bit more complex with each sweet babe you bring into your family. Being on your A-game is a must!
There were a few things that were super helpful to me in fighting pregnancy nausea. I would eat first thing in the morning. I also had good results with ginger chews.
Two other things I’ll share are Preggie Pops and these Sea Band Anti-Nausea Wristbands.
Prenatal Vitamins
One of the first things you should do when you find out you’re pregnant, if you’re not already taking one, is to start taking a prenatal vitamin. As your baby grows, he/she will start taking what they need, potentially leaving you in a deficit.
I tried a few different pregnancy vitamins, but this Vitamin Code Prenatal Vitamin was my favorite and made me feel the best.
Pregnancy Picture Props/Tracker
I highly encourage you to take pictures to track your pregnancy. It’s fun to look back and see how your body changed, especially with each pregnancy after your first.
With one of my pregnancies, I bought this letter board. It was fun to put every month’s details. We have also used it to track their monthly and yearly pictures. It has been a fun addition.
Cleaner Products
With every pregnancy, I tried to make sure I was choosing clean products with fewer chemicals. This was because I wanted to create a healthy environment for my baby to grow.
I changed things like my deodorant, toothpaste, shampoo, and body wash. Nothing too crazy, but I was trying to decrease the amount of harmful chemicals in and near my body. One simple swap I’ll share with you is Everyone for Every Body 3-in-1. I used this when I was pregnant, and all of my kids use it even still.
They do have several different scents if lavender isn’t your favorite. The main thing I would say is to look around and see what products you’re using that have cleaner, less chemical options you can switch to.
Pregnancy Planner
Much like everything else in life, you don’t know what you don’t know. One of my favorite things to recommend to first-time moms is a pregnancy planner. It walks you through different ways your body will change and how your baby will grow month by month. They also recommend and give ideas of different things you should be doing, and when to buy important things.
CleverFox brand planners are one of my favorite brands of planners for moms, but they also make this awesome Pregnancy Planner that I’m excited to share with you.
Pregnancy Pillow
Honest moment- I never found a pregnancy support pillow that I loved. BUT, I have many friends who LOVED their pregnancy pillows, so I want to share this with you.
Pregnancy support pillows kind of hug around you to help you sleep comfortably. Like a belly band, they’re designed to help hold the weight of your growing baby belly.
This MomCozy pregnancy support pillow is soft, has a washable cover, and will help support your growing belly at all the right pressure points.
Nursing Pads
Fun fact you may not know about- your breasts can start leaking breast milk before you give birth!
Ok, so maybe that’s not so exciting when your breasts start leaking when you least expect them to.
Thankfully, the easy solution is to wear nursing pads while pregnant. These organic cotton, reusable breast milk pads will soak up the breast milk so you don’t have a mess. Toss them in the washing machine and reuse.
Belly Band for Support
Some people have tiny, little baby bellies. Although I wouldn’t say that my pregnancies were “all belly,” I would say my baby bellies were large and heavy.
If you experience a large baby belly, wearing a belly band for support can be super helpful.
A pregnancy belly band wraps around your waist and connects with Velcro. It is a physical support that helps hold the weight of your growing baby.
This pregnant woman is wearing a KeaBabies belly band for support. You can see how it wraps around her belly to her back and helps distribute the weight of her belly.
